Now this is how this song should be done. I like the grit in your voice and the sax sounds cool.
The crickets in the background are a nice touch, real thing?
Well done.

Yep, all ambiance noise is my backyard on the uke/vocal track. I set the br80 on my little coffee table and sit and play in my rocking chair, usually by a fire. I use the small room setting for the on board mics and put the mic volume at about 75 (internally the mic sensitivity is at its lowest). I hardly ever add samples so most likely all outside sounds are the real thing. Just an added bonus for the way I record everywhere.
I loved the idea of the non city sounds behind the track and it worked out cool in my opinion.
Thanks for listening guys!
Rock on!

Nice work man, that horn part really opens it up. Is that an Alto setting?
The back porch setting certainly adds a chilled out vibe.
Warmest regards,

It must be nice to be able to sit out on the back porch any time you like! I'm sitting in a snowbank, ugh...

At least I can get the warm vibes from you my man!

It took me till the last chorus to recognize the song. That's more a reflection on my exposure to the tune and not on your rendition. As a a matter of fact, I prefer this version. I think it conveys more emotion with your instrumentation.
