i spent a few hours recording this i think i disappeared up my own asshole in the process. i wrote the song on my acoustic a few days ago but this is first chance i have had to record it.

i created the drum track using drum jam, i then added my woolies strat via my irighd2 using tonebridge app for effects. then recorded the vocals using the br800's internal mics. i then played same guitar part on my jasmine electro acoustic. then added bass guitar using my epiphone sg bass. i then experimented with a simple lead guitar on my woolies strat, ramping up all the effects i could to hide it's simplicity. if anyone wants to try a lead at the break give me a pm and i'll send you a mix without lead guitar. finally i added some juno di to try fill it out. not sure if it all works or is whether it is just a dirge.

it is what it is.

Grab yer things the sun is up the future's looking rosy
Ignore the fools who make the rules they don't know what they're doing
They can't keep you down if you look around
You can find the truth it's out there
For the few to do what they do to you
Only happens if you allow it
Don't fall for their lies they're only there just to divide us
To fight amongst ourselves that's what they want hey no surprises
All their gods are false and their news is fake
All their demons there to confuse you
And they spread the blame and they shame and pain
In order to distract you
break
To blame the weak for all our woes you really must be joking
You work your fingers to the bone to keep their motor running
And they laugh at us as they rake it in
How they profit is outrageous
They suppress our love for our fellow man
With their greed which is contagious
Grab yer things the sun is up the future's looking rosy

i think it was you that put me on to "drumjam" hook. so thank you very much.

i spent ages on drum track, but as per usual i miscounted.

i was humming along as i built the drum track, but i missed out at least 16 bars for every verse, and had the drum track due to finish at 1 minute 40 secs when i realised my error. wtf! when i wrote it it was at least 4 minutes long. lol.

so i just kept going trying to compensate for the lost bars, but in the end, when i had finished recording i had missed a few bars.

so that's why part with guitar solo, is a few bars short. lol.

so at the end of the day,the drum track was a complete mistake, with drum changes and cues for me, happening at all the wrong times etc,

worst thing is, i was sober when i did the drum track. lol.

Nice bigger production music! The solo is good - it has a bit Morrisey vibe!

We need to have a Trump fest. The unofficial one has already started. Love the lyrics, can't wait to hear it.

Update:

Just listened through monitors. I think the drum track is fine.  Except a couple of times when there are few bars of single snare hits which sound a little out of place.  Otherwise a great tune.

Best wishes,

Ian
