So very excited to see Rata Tat Tat posting drums tracks https://songcrafters.org/community/index.php?topic=26270.0...Tampaska Lives On!
I wrote this the other day to his excellent drum track "Chill Kill". It took 2 days of various attempt to get the Tres/vocal part. This one was done on my back porch yesterday morning. I did the U-bass and lead guitar (my Traveler electric), mixed & mastered in the car yesterday afternoon. All done on the BR80 with RTTs drums imported of course.
I love writing to RTT's fully flrshed out drum recordings...it's kinda like working backwards. Thanks brother, glad your back!
The story was inspired by a break in/robbery my neighbors had just before Christmas that did not end in violence...as far as I know.

1 stereo drum track (RTT)
1 cuban tres/vocal (stereo)
1 U-bass (stereo)
1 lead guitar (stereo)

Off on vacation
hoping for a blast
4 kids and a dog
crossed the state line at last
Trips been planned for months
A cabin on a mountain side
Hiking and exploring
The wonders of the outside
Quality time
Spent together
Not till the drive home
Did we get any bad weather
Finally see the
house up ahead
it's good to be home
unpack and get to bed
But somethings amiss
As I open the door
The house is a mess
Broken Lamp on the floor
I find the sliding glass door
forced and ajar
a scream then a shot
Cries from the hall
2 more shots
and a figure in the bedroom door
In slow motion I see
the bullet hit my chest

I love the story and the overall rending. Those drums change the atmosphere, but their still is that fabulous hook touch

Very cool! You've created unique and recognizable Hook soundscape on the backer! Great job on Rata's drumtrack!

You have a very brave chord in there. It was, of course, my favorite part. I could see you grinning when you came up with it.

Cool post and I dig the drumming as well.

Hey Hook... this sounds fantastic. I've really missed seeing what you guys come up with. It's like Christmas evrytime I open a new track.

I haven't had the time to listen "properly"... just my phone speaker. I assume if it sounds good on my phone it sounds even better through a good system.

We may have to change the name to Tampaskarado,., LOL
