Well as most of you know I like to dabble in many different genres.
I'm not sure if we have many Country music fans here, but I grew
up on Country and Bluegrass before I heard Deep Purple, Sabbath,
Zeppelin or any other inspirational Rock artist from that time.

This song reminds me of that Traditional Country sound.
I did this a while back, but pulled it out to refresh it a bit.

The lap steel guitar is actually a ca.50's model Truetone hollowbody
that's beat to hell and back. Played through a Palomino V16 tube
amp mic'd with an SM57. I tried to go for that whiny train sound
flubs and all. Hope you enjoy.

I played in a country band for a few years although I always preferred country rock. You certainly do this so well I would think you had been playing in the Nashville honky tanks for ever except I know that everything you turn to sounds good. The lap steel is a fine addition and works perfectly. Willie

Hey Mach, this is great.

This is refreshing to hear some country music. I must admit I have kind of avoided country music most of my life but the older I get the more i am starting to like some of it. This is great though, really enjoyed it!

Gorgeous... so professional sounding. I'm partial to a bit bit of country music (my dad was a big fan so I grew up on it). Love the steel guitar sound & playing... really authentic sound. Bravo!

Country at it's best Mach-
You make it sound so easy --
Top class  recording and if I wasn't sitting at the PC I would say I was listening to Dwight.

What a brilliant job you've done hear. It's also perfect, love the way the piano and fiddle work together. Did you play those keys? Love me some country and this is authentic as it gets.
Rock on!

I'm not a big country music fan but I am, like you, eclectic in the music I listen to, so my collection includes country and country rock.  And this is a great addition.

This is fine record here Mach.  Excellent playing on all instruments including the steele guitar.  Vocals are pleasant and spot on.  The studio work is top shelf; great tones, very well mixed and mastered.  Pro level all the way around, as I've come to expect from you.

Thanks for posting, this one's a keeper.
