I hate to admit it, but I don't know an awful lot about Leonard  Cohen.  The impression I've built in my head is of an intense intellectual type making dour music beloved by people who should probably get out more.

This doesn't fit with that.

What I'm hearing here is joyful and very nicely observed.  Rye.  It put a smile on my face immediately and I was nodding along with the lyrics.  I don't know how much of that was Cohen and how much Hook; I suspect some of each.

I too am not very familiar with Leonard Cohen's songs. Listening to this was very entertaining!

I'm also not familiar with Cohen's work, but didn't a lot of artist do many different versions of his songs?
Anyway, I've heard this one now and I'm sure it would be hard to top the Hook version. Good work dude!

Well I am a big L Cohen fan, and I must admit was quite sceptical... Can such a dark song be played with a Ukulele - worse, with two ukes...?
But Hook I forgot you are a Uke master and such an inspired artist, a big well done !
