Beautiful song man, I think that the structure sounds great as does your vocals.
I think that a bass line would certainly fatten out the sound and if you were to add a solo, I think the perfect sound would be that of a wind up music box. I'm sure that you could find a synth patch with that effect on it.

might be my favorite sentence ever!  3rd verse would have to be pretty damn good. I'd add bass  but not sure about anything else.
