This one took me a while to put together, but I had a lot of fun with it.
The mix is fairly dense as there is a lot going on, (19 guitar parts!!!).

I hope you guys like it.

I'm a big fan of Zappa, but I've never been brave enough to tackle on of his songs. This is just bloody superb!  :)

You know, a long time ago I was nineteen, I had long hair, was stoned more often than not, always had a guitar in reach and was going out with a beautiful girl whose parents absolutely hated me. It was around this time that I first got a hold of the Weasels Ate My Flesh album and it totally blew my mind. I'd never really heard much Zappa at the time and most of that album was so avant garde and totally out there that I wasn't sure if I loved it or hated it. This tune was the only straight ahead rock tune on it and it summed up the situation I was in perfectly. Man I really dig this song and whenever I hear it now I'm transported back to those glory days of young love, endless possibility and getting high and playing guitar at any moment of the day.

20+ years later I have a sensible haircut, a full time job, a marriage with kids, and a stack of debts and responsibilities that are a total buzz kill. But I still get to play music, I just have to schedule it in around all the other domestic and work related bullshit.

And I can still hear certain songs that take me to more carefree times.
That I think is a fairly special thing.
Warmest regards,
