Desafinado (Out of tune) is a song composed in 1959 by Brazilian musicians Antônio Carlos Jobim and Newton Mendonça, co-founders of the "bossa nova" style. It is a response to the first critics who spoke of the bossa nova as a music for singers who can not sing. ;D

Merci pour votre écoute

Thousand apologies for people who speak Portuguese. It's just phonetic ;D ;D ;D

Although it's not a song I know by name, this is instantly familiar to me. A beautiful version, JP. I could listen to this kind of music all night :)

really nice, those Gilberto/Getz albums that made Jobim's songs so famous are some of my favorites and you capture it perfectly.

RIP Joao Gilberto

I learned this morning of Joao Gilberto's death.
He was the guitarist who made me want to learn a little bit about the chords and rhythms of the bossa
this song ( by Antonio Carlos Jobin and Vinicius de Moraes) he masterfully performed it with Stan Getz it became a jazz/bossa standard integrated in the Real Book (...the Bible of Jazzmen)
