Hi all,

Bowie's death was a great loss for me, he wrote the soundtrack to my youth.

This is one of my (many) favourites. I had a chance to create a bit of music for the first time in an awful long time. I hope it was worth it.

I love your take on this. You've kept the spirit of the original but given it a really fresh sounding twist. Love the way you kept the lead guitar part going under the vocals... great guitar tone by the way. What were you using?

The original has a sort of hypnotic plodding and you've really captured that. I like that sample-and-hold synth and the lead guitar really grabs you by the nuts.

Great

how did you get the band ?
Thanks, there's no band, a drum sequencer, which I didn't have time to program particularly well, two synths, three guitar tracks, bass and vocals. All in my tiny study.

I use a Line 6 pod original, I found something close and cranked up the compression to give the sustain
