I just finished an acoustic version of slide guitar pioneer Elmore James' "Done Somebody Wrong". The song is probably best known as an Allman Brothers cover from At Fillmore East. I decided it would be fun to add the extended intro that Derek Trucks and Warren Haynes would jam on in more recent years.

Mighty fine playing, Brett (or Bob?). Seriously cool track.

I love this!!!  "At Fillmore East" is one of my all time favourite albums so I pressed "play" with a great sense of anticipation. Needless to say, you didn't disappoint. A stunning rendition of a classic. You are a true bluesman, mate!

Mach, will you be going to Wanee this year? Brettbob and I screwed up last year by not hooking up, but I hope to fix that this time around.

Another great post from you. Your instrumentation always seems atypical from this site. Must be the acoustic slide and dobro. Haven't really wanted to listen to anything Allman-related since Butch died, but I think this brought me around. Really nice post.

What's the percussion?

Thanks, Blooby, I actually finished this on the day Butch passed. Started reading rumors later that day. I'm still totally stunned. Just saw Freight Train before NYE in Boca and chatted very briefly with him after the show, which I rarely ever bother to do. Will definitely find you at Wanee, already looking forward to it. It's going to be heavy this year, I'm sure.

The percussion is just a cajon and maraca.
