I guess I never posted this one. It was originally meant for a different lyric and melody, but when Calvin added his ideas, the path was set, and I really love how it turned out. :)

Original Music, Mix & Master: Steffen Offermann

I'm sitting here on this beach chair
Loving the tropical breeze
Enjoying a cold Margarita
Doing what-ever I please

I sold everything that I worked for
cashed in my 401k
I went and purchased a ticket
only going one way

Hey I'm feeling fine and I'm having Fun
Some call it brave some, call it dumb
I got to hand it to Jimmy
He's created another beach bum

I did everything that they told me
I worked everyday of my life
Now I'm under this Palm tree
Having a burger in Paradise

I'm loving life in the moment
All of my worries are gone
I just saw something special
And she was wearing a thong

This is the place that I'll call home
This is the real life for me
Found my own little slice of heaven
way down here out by the sea

I just made a new friend here
Him and I had a talk
Importing Colombian products
doesn't seem like too bad of job

No I'm explaining my story
To a man who works for the law
trying like hell to convince him
That I didn't do anything wrong

Hey I skipped Bail I'm out on the run
This new life well it ain't much fun
I give credit to Jimmy
He's created another beach bum

Yeah I'm living life out on the run
So long to flip flops and coconut rum
A big shout out to Jimmy
He's created another beach bum

Hey Steffen! Glad to see you're back too!
It's been years in fact!
 Wow! Where did they go?!
I see you are still making the pro sounding tunes, and this sounds great.
Well done!

Thanks for the welcome back, Ken! :)

Yes, lots of years indeed. I didn't have the energy to be that omnipresent any more, and since collaboration has always been my main goal, this site eventually slid off my radar. It's a pity for all the fantastic music I missed, but it just got to frustrating that nobody ever wanted to collaborate on any of my tunes here.

Time is ticking, and I'd love to get a couple more tunes out while I still can. :)

But I'm going at a much slower pace now, and I look forward to dropping by every now and then and listening to the great music that you guys produce here. :)

Regards,
  Steffen

A very pro sounding song that brings back memories of when I lived in the Panhandle of Florida near Mobile, AL where Jimmy is from. We saw JB hangin' around the beach bars a lot. Great tune ans sound.

Wow, FIVE years already ... I have always wanted to try and do a better mix of that song. I hope it won't take another five years! :)
