i should really bin this song and start from scratch with a drum track  ;D ;D

anyway this started with an acoustic track on my jasmine, i am a thumbstrummer but i tried to do some picking oh dear. then added another acoustic track, then to try and hide the bum notes and inadequacies i added a bass track done on my juno di and four separate drone tracks from my juno, then warbled on top. as i said i should go back to the drawing board with this one, but i spent days on it and can't be bothered.

Never had a chance, they said I was born bad
Never had the opportunity to be any other way
Well I lived up to their low expectations
The road they sent me on
I'll keep on going down
Keep on going down
Keep on going down
Well here we are again said the judge to me
I gave you so many chances to change your ways
I need to take away your  liberty
You keep on coming  back
Keep on going down
Keep on going down
Keep on
Ain't no other way no other way to go
But keep on going down
Keep on going down
Keep on
It's the only life I've known is there any other way
But to keep on going down
Keep on going down
Keep on going down
Never had a chance they said I was born bad
Never had the opportunity to be any other way
whit goes oan in ma heid

The guitars sound pretty cool and I think if you were to add drums it would be better if they were to come in and out throughout the song. I could totally hear them coming after the first chorus.

Vocals sound cool and fit in well with the guitars. I especially like the way the chordal movement descends in the first verse as you hit the line about "low expectations".

As a sketch it is indeed very promising, I like what you've got here.
Warmest regards,

This is impressive, James!

The guitars sound fine and this is probably the first time I hear you picking guitar - well done!

Nice one james,I like the wee guitar melody that runs through it.
I think with this I would do it in the tempo of say...Bowies Heroes and play that wee tune all the way through it.
In fact it would be a good idea just to start the song
with nothing but that wee melody then have everything jump right in.
You might be on to a winner here james.
Brawwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww

Hook

I dig this, your progression has shades of Pink Floyd and I want to steal it ;)
Rock on!

Really unexpected changes.  Really like this.

Haven't touched my guitar for a bit, and I immediately picked up the acoustic and started noodling over this.  Thanks for that.

Yes, I know I owe you one. Shooting for tomorrow.

Peace.
