Well Done Guys I loved it...... I think the harp adds a real haunting Quality

Greeny

This is an EXCELLENT rendition of a true classic. It's seen many covers over the years, but this stands up to any of them. So I reckon you got it right!  :)

I used to think of this song when I went to get Bojangles fried chicken in North and South Carolina. Now you've made me think of Bojangles chicken. And I can't have any!  :D

LOL Greeny I can send you some... but may not be very fresh upon arrival.

Wiley, Geir .... I have been waiting for this since Wiley posted the request in collabs, so VERY VERY well done. Geir, WOW, great playing. Wiley, you have such a haunting quality to your voice, it suits this very well. Great job you two.

Man, talk about a community!!! We all were strangers coming here, and the music that is created by all these collabs and the friendships built is like none other online I have ever seen.

Practically a worldwide family.

Wiley

I agree dragonshade on the collabs and friends.  Who needs a band when we all have each other.  When I tell local friends what I am doing they just can't believe.  That I sing and play with someone from Norway or England or wherever. I feel like most of you are friends even though I haven't met any of you. Thanks for the comments on the song. I've always thought it was a pretty song.

WOW. I've never much liked any version of this song I heard before, but I loved this one. Really drips with emotion, great layered harmonies and I didn't hear the uke going out at all. I think the production's great. Well done, both of you.

BTW, this really does remind me of the Cowboy Junkies. Wiley, if you don't know them, you should check them out.

Cheers,

Nigel

Nice!! I was waiting to see how this one would turn out, too, but haven't been able to get online much the past few days - my mobile phone isn't doing a very good job downloading either (Samsung i760).

Anyway, great playing to the both of you!! I liked the chorus harmonies the best - the vox blend together beautifully!

It was worth the wait!!

See ya,

Mark

Really really great.  How much reverb do you use Wily, just curious, it sounds like a lot, but it also sounds real good and old timey.  Super job all around.

I usually run around 75 or 80. but being a vocalist I hate it when the voices are drowned out or sound flat.  So I kind of tend to over do a bit.  I just know when we go listen to a band. Usually more rock they have a guy sit out there and run their sound system.  AND guess what you can never understand a word the singers are saying.  BOY I would love to sit there and run that thing. You would hear the words etc. OK I am rambling. LOL

I had to listen to this one several times in a row!!!!! Great job! I really enjoyed! Who did this song originally? Was it the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band. I can't remember. I love your voice and I loved the guitar work. You really hit it dead on!
