Yesterday I looked what piece to play on my WWeissenborn guitar to show well the atmosphere so particular of this instrument
I finally chose "The Moment" of Thomas Oliver, new-zeland singer songwriter because two reasons:

1/ there was a tabs on Web   ;D

2/ interesting piece  in open D (exactly Db) with change of tuning during the piece cross it Open D Maj7 (lowed a half tone the tuning of 6thstring   at 1:36 and return on original tune at 2:12   :(

thanks for your listenning

I don't know half of you half as well as I should like, and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve.

That's a lovely sound and great playing.  Now I am relaxed.

after a series of disasters (who said law of series?) musico-surgical, I start again almost to 0, by trying to put back together some pieces found in old DD of safeguard

Among those "THE MOMENT" of Thomas Oliver
it's the first track I had put on SC with the weissenborn, in 2017 (the first one being "my heart will go on" ..on 31/12/2016????

Let me tell you a little about my weissenborn Anderwood guitar
I bought it in 2016 ,by internet trusting this little English luthier house of Anderwood guitar (http://www.anderwoodguitars.com/)
received by mail! ...no problem

This little guitar steel is a marvel...you have to like the very particular sound and the "parasitic" noises of the bone bar rubbing, the metal tabs on the strings...and the few falsities due to the fact that it's a non-fretted instrument (...and when like me you have Melodyne, you realize how difficult it is to play in tune (always a few tenths of a tone difference from the reference note...but then again you have to resist the temptation of correcting ALL!

well, a few flaws sound fabulous to my ears always...nothing wrong with this sounding gem...

I understand why guitar players send their guitars out to Luthiers or techs or whatever you want to call them to get the frets ground down etc....me, I just play them as is out of the box because I like the weird sounds I get out of the guitar when I add in the effects because of the flaws...and that makes my guitars impossible to duplicate...(Ha ha ha)

These days I merely dabble at being old and wise.
But I swear, I used to absolutely excel at being young and stupid.

Thank you  guys

There is a small subtlety in this piece in Open D is that around 1'40", there is a change of tuning: we go from open D to Open D Maj 7 (,https://gtdb.org/dadfsacs ), it had intrigued me at the first listening :)

Very interesting sound and a performance. There's earthiness to the sound. A soothing piece of music.
