This is a fun little AC/DC style drinking song which I finished today.
All of the guitars and bass were recorded on the BR800 and then dumped into Ableton Live 8 where I redid the drums and vocals. I re-amped the bass and added a little EQ to the guitars and that's about it.
I'm quite happy with how this one came out.

Hi Jim, thanks for the Christmas present. This is a great bar room bluesy number. Love that crunchy guitar and the lead tone is terrific. Nicely recorded and mixed too. You should be happy.

Thanks Ian,
This is one of those tunes that sort of just wrote itself.
It was actually one of the first riffs I recorded when I first got my BR800, I was just absent mindedly playing some riffs whilst testing some of the guitar and bass tones. The next thing I knew I had the outlines of a song.
I bounced it down onto my computer and forgot about it for over a year until I found it in a folder yesterday.
I added some EQ to the guitar parts, worked out a pretty simple drum part and did a couple of passes at putting down a vocal part and hey presto I got a song I rather like.

Sometimes you spend hours banging your head against a wall trying to come up with a song, and sometimes the song bangs the wall against your head.

I like this it has a laid back rocking vibe kinda like Bad Co. meets AC/DC. Cool guitar rhythms and live sounding drums.
I'm thinking now I should of went with the BR800 instead of the Tascam, but it was a deal I couldn't pass up.
Great recording.

I was thinking the same thing, and the vocals are addictive as hell! Killer blues licks too, this tune has it all

You got it going on bro!

Thanks for all your kind words on this one gentlemen. I was always a bit concerned with the vocals on this particular track. Christ, they're pretty sloppy, perhaps in this case it's quite appropriate.

Now available as an mp3 for download.
