Adding fx to a single dry track

I have 4 trax dry and now want to start adding fx to the individual trax to build up the mix before the bounce.
What 's the process?
I can play the fx with the individual trax on playback with Effects/>/LOC/> etc
But how do you record those individual FX (onto another single V track I assume)?
I realize I can bounce but that combines all the other trax too.
IOW Is there a "bounce one track" option?

Imagine I've all the 4 tracks full and I want to add an effect to track 3. What I do is: Change the selected virtual tracks on Track 1, 2 and 4 to an empty one (this will mute them). Then, change to bounce mode and select the destiny track to track 3 virtual track 2 and bounce. Finally I change the virtual track of Track 3 to Virtual track 2. It seems like a complicated process but it is not.

Also, if you do it fast and with both hands you'll definitely look cool,  :D.

Yes
it can be done-set the effects how you would like-mute the tracks you don't wants-then bounce-you can the shut off the effects-your new track will have the effect and you still have the dry track in case you need a do over-
eg..
trk1v1 is dry
bounce to
trk1v
trk 2,3 and 4 set to an unesed virtual track "mutes" then
hope this helps

Actually, it's better to reduce the level of each unwanted track to zero before the bounce (see page 50, step 2 and page 33 of the Micro BR manual). This will prevent the recording preamps from amplifying any internal noise. Think of what happens when you turn on a guitar amp with nothing plugged into it and turn up the volume. Most amps will buzz, hiss and crackle even though there's no input signal (equivalent to an empty v-track). But if you turn the amp's volume control all the way down, it will be completely silent. Of course, the Micro BR's recording preamps are only a tiny fraction of the power of a guitar amp and the BR's internal noise is much lower too, so the noise may not be noticeable. But the principal is the same, so it's best to lower the levels to zero.

Also, don't forget to turn off the rhythm before an intermediate bounce (see page 50/51, step 6). You should only include the rhythm in your final bounce when you mix down to two tracks.

Good tips thanks.
I guess I was hoping to hear the other trax but not record them on the bounce. I can see how this works however.

this was a seriously helpful thread. i knew there had to be a simple way of muting certain tracks without having to bring the levels dow.

also, page 50 step 4 shows how to select the track and v-track you want to bounce onto, that had me stumped for ages, you just change it on the main screen i didnt even see it there till i read that part of the manual.

so now i can apply effects to single tracks and bounce my results onto empty v-tracks i feel so f**king successful and proud.

Hold On!!! Stop the bloody lights here.

Ok follow this, i had an acoustic guitar on track one virtual track one. And then i had bass on track 2 virtual track 2. I used an effect called piezo ld on the bass track and kind of altered little things in the levels till i got it right, then i went to bounce it onto another empty virtual track, however when it bounced, the effect sounds completely different, it sounds louder and distorted. What the hell is up with that? I thought what you hear is what you get? Every body in here now and help.

Where did you have the patch efx LOCated ? :-\
Did you have patch LOC'd on vTrack which you bounced to?
