So glad I followed Geir's link here.  I'm truly humbled by this talent on instruments, lyrics, and voice.  Like Greeny said, it immediately strikes one as a classic old folk song

Guess i missed this one way back when. Good as the day it was written tho...

I loved the lyrics, the vocal delivery, and the feel of the whole song. The arrangement and playing indeed has a very authentic old time folk feel and together they add up to a really good song. exdellent collab..even if i am 2 years late in saying so  ;D

This is quite amazing songwriting here! Geir...wow, your playing just exudes emotion and the lyrics are perfect! This is the kind of song people relate to and can become huge, it needs to be sung from the roofs and danced to on mountaintops. Well done brothers (even if it is belated) this is an immense achievement in my humble opinion!

i have been in the presence of the mighty geir a few times now, and each time we had intended to do an in the same room version of this one, but other matters and songs took over and we forgot. so my big viking friend next time we get together we do this one first maybe even litlr.
