Not to mention the drum programming~ I don't even know where to start with making rhythm tracks~ I can't grasp how you guys time your fills out... Good job all round man!

Quote from: Satchwood on April 30, 2009, 12:06:18 PMCool tune G!  I can picture this lady from listening to your song - great lyrics - singing - and acoustic and lead guitar playing!  You've probably got a story how you came up with these song lyrics....cool stuff!
I probably should have a story ... truth is I just remember having the title .. and the first line .... just sorta started playing around with words after that .. Only had one verse when we went to record it, so the second verse is written on the 10-minute walk from where we slept to the recording studio ...

Quote from: Ferryman_1957 on April 30, 2009, 02:23:32 PMThe lyrics are fun as well - am I hearing it right, did she really have a rock'n'roll chair? Where can I get me one of them?
I did actually make a drawing of that  .. yes you heard right .. Rock'n'Roll chair .. It's a comfy rockingchair that goes all the way around .. and with some serious speakers mounted in the vicinity of the ears  8) if I find it I'll post it.

Or just stupid ... can't really settle down and find my own style ... Would make it impossible to put together a viable record  :D

The drums WAS the big challenge for me on this one, as I copied much of the original arrangement ... kinda worked out OK didn't it ? There's amazing possibilities in this little box of ours !!!!!

Oh well ........

OsCKilO

i think it would be great to have an album full of different stuff by the same artist. You'd certainly get you money's worth if you released one. That mountain song was great!

Nice bump, Alex! I've missed this earlier, too.

Recently, when I've heard here cover songs written by Tom Petty, so this sounded "a lost track" by him.

Enjoyable listening, Geir!

Nice one, mate! Very authentic sounding slice of Americana. I wouldn't worry about the Sweet Home Alabama chord sequence... Lynyrd Skynyrd probably got it from Sympathy For The Devil, anyway :)
