This is a song  ::) that I wrote when I was in the world-known band LiFF  ;D
It had a good reception when we played it live, but then ... well .. I didn't sing it, and the singer we had is still one of the best I've known.

We recorded a demo of this one with the band but I thought it would be fun to rerecord with the MBR .. should have taken more time but hey ... probably wouldn't be much better anyway....

Hey! You do American acoustic rock too. And very well! I liked this even before I heard it, just from the title. I thought I heard a bit of 'Sweet Home Alabama' in the chorus, but I could be wrong, lol.

Another really solid and likeable song. You know how to use those harmonies!

aaahhhh well ... yes ... I have blatantly stolen the chord progression on the verse (tho' unconsciously) and yes, I guess I've stolen more ... even tho I have a change of key on the chorus.

cheers

We all do it from time to time. I like to think of it more as a 'tribute' that a deliberate steal, lol. My son never tires of pointing out the songs I've ripped off!

I really love songs like this.  Even though the chords sound familiar (there are only so many chords and chord combinations to use anyway, every song written nowadays can be seen as a partial copy of something else), the song is very original because of the lyrics.  I like the way your voice sounds with this also.

Cool tune G!  I can picture this lady from listening to your song - great lyrics - singing - and acoustic and lead guitar playing!  You've probably got a story how you came up with these song lyrics....cool stuff!

I really enjoyed this, I particularly liked the guitar solo, really great sound and laid back feel. The lyrics are fun as well - am I hearing it right, did she really have a rock'n'roll chair? Where can I get me one of them?

Cheers,

You are just so talented.  Glad you found your way to this place.  We would all miss you if you were not here.  And taken more time.  How could it get much better than this?
