Good work on this James. Loved the Native American perspective that paints such a foreboding and ominous souddscape both lyrically and instrumentally.  It is a bit muddy production wise but that's the easiest thing to fix of all the ingredients. The song is excellent and i think it would be worth the effort. The tune is full of emotion and great imagery. Good post!

Paints a very visual picture. The accordion and bass create movement, atmosphere and feeling. Great vocals, great song!

funny you should mention the bass mike.

i usually write songs on guitar or keyboards,

but this one i approached differently, and wrote the song and lyric around the bass. i started with the drum track then quickly jammed the bass track and everything else fell around or was guided by the bass track. i need to try that approach more often.
