Americana (banner image missing)

Another attempt at Americana. started this trying to create a simple drum track in Drumjam on Ipad. recorded that to br800, then recorded epiphone bass guitar to one mono track. then recorded two separate mono tracks playing rhythm on jasmine electro acoustic, then a picked/lead mono track on jasmine, then used Cajun accordion on thumbjam, played on korg nanokey. then bounced all to a stereo track before recording a stereo vocal track.

i think mix sounds a bit muddy, but was all mixed and recorded in a noisy environment with headphones. will probably leave as is. but don't be surprised if i try redo it or remix it.

medicine box and a bloody stone
couldn't just leave things well alone
bleached blonde bones and an evil eye
hurricane thunder dark red sky
little wooden cross with a man nailed on
nothing but trouble since he came along
bleached blonde bones and an evil eye
hurricane thunder dark red sky
buffalo gone and the trees cut down
but the liquor is cheap in one street town
he brought death and destruction along with his brave new world
his cold didn't kill you then his flu would do
brothers and sisters cousins too
bleached blonde bones and an evil eye
hurricane thunder dark red sky
well he thought he knew better and i guess he did
cos i got nothing and this land is his
bleached blonde bones and an evil eye
hurricane thunder dark red sky
whit goes oan in ma heid

There's something about the tones used here in conjunction with the music that really took me somewhere. I really enjoyed this. Stunning.

Lyrics paint a picture of..... I dunno what, but I like 'em.

Everything fits beautifuly, vocals, guitar, smoke on the water.

Let it be known, there is a fountain, that was not made, by the hands of men.

My seven year old daughter likes the song.  I do too.  She said that it sounds familiar.  That's a sign of a good song.

It sounds new, yet familiar.  I just like the feel, the lyrics, the instrumentation, the vocals ....  Wait, isn't that everything?  Okay, I like everything.

You sure you ain't from around here Jim? Well designed Americana tune, reminds me of Steve Earle a little.
