Music is a Great tool for letting off steam.   ;)

A Jam session Seems to be the Ultimate Stress Release mechanism known to man!

I have a friend David who played some drums at High-school (Secondary school in the UK) in Kilmarnock (Bonnie Scotland).... He recently had a "Wee Bairn" and was due some time-out to make a racket.

He accompanied Osckilo to a Rehersal studio and brought out his old sticks.

We decided to record our session with the Sony condenser Mic,

His Passion is Metal, so we couldn't accommodate without selling our souls to some kind of malevolent supernatural being. (Don't get us wrong....LOVE METAL...Just cant do it yet!)

Instead,  we all agreed to Make something up.

This was all recorded in one shot apart from a short interlude so I could take a call from The Evil Mrs Osckilo...... Who called again a minute later........
God bless Audacity software......The Expletives have now been removed.

We had no Bass so I used an effect (beats me which one?) on a Mic and ran it through the Speakers.

The only word that gave the right base tone was "MACAROON"! Hence the name of the tune......

Think Macaroons are Scottish (?) so it would be quite fitting........

Thought We'd share this with you.....It was one of those times of total escapism where people just come together through music, who cant crank up the volume at home......Much.......without being shouted at.......or home alone......

Any Ideas what Style this fits into?
we cant decide........

Cheers

This had a very different sound. Really quite catchy.  You should perfect it more.  Great job!

I guess its rock/indiish :D But who cares it sounds like fun!

Ferryman_1957

Yeah, ignore the style, keep doing your own thing and have fun. There's definite potential here. Do Scottish drummers do things differently to normal drummers? Normal drummers dribble on to their jeans while a Scottish drummer dribbles on to his kilt, something like that?

Cheers,

Nigel

The words "Nail",  "head" and "hit the on" come to mind.
