I remember buying Sounds Book of the Electric Guitar 1980 when it came out. With so little information about guitars available back then I read it over and over for years. On the front cover was a photo of the BC Rich Bich 10 string with a review inside.

I used to lust after it - with 6 knobs and 6 switches, surely I'd be a fantastic guitarist ! As we all know now, its not the guitar that matters, its down to the fingers, how much time you practice and your own limits.

These days I prefer my Tele with 2 knobs and 1 switch !

I went through the same thing and I actually spent a fair chunk of my student grant on a BC Rich in 1985.

It was the same shape as the one in the video but gloss black, but a straight six string with humbuckers & whammy bar.  And it was a cheapo far eastern made one.

It sounded great, but it was  a horrible guitar to play; all the weight as in the neck and your left hand was deployed holding the neck up.  I held on to it for a couple of months then traded it in (in the music shop on Oxford Road Manchester) for my Tokai Tele which I still own now.
