I love your song,  wasn't sure at first about the Americana aspect , your guitar tone didn't seem right, but then that accordion came in and I think you nailed it. Well.done brother!

I think Farrell and Ian have gotten it right, but I think there's an added  simplistic formula to most Americana songs. Relatively predictable progeessions, often a repetitive chorus, 1 line repeated, a big pet peeve of mine  with most Americana music. It's like the songs that are too produced to be folk but not edgy enough for Rock. Not slick enough for pop but often simple enough to be pop songs, produced with bluegrass intentions and limited effects.
