I read that Bobby Vee -'60s idol passed away earlier this week -he was 73-
I liked Bobby Vee -I suppose really cos he did an album with my favourite group -the Crickets - ;D ;D
Anyway here's a song written by Sonny Curtis and Jerry Allison of the Crickets -
The Crickets recorded it first but B Vee had a hit record with his version.

Great cover, Tommy. Sonny Curtis is a great songwriter, and I'm beginning to appreciate Bobby Vee a lot more - I never knew until he passed away that he sat in with the Crickets!

Nice one, Tommy. Such a great song. I've always loved the Leo Sayer version from 1980. Not sure if I've heard Bobby Vee's version but I just read on Wikipedia that Sayer was inspired to record the song after hearing Bobby Vee's version on a TV commercial for a greatest hits collection by Bobby Vee.

Great guitar tone. It sounds like the Crickets are in the house.

Cheers,

Ian
