Hi mike, the track is brilliant, sounds so pro,I'm interested to know what mixer do you use as an interface for the recording,it looks pretty cool.
I would prefer a set up like this if I went on this route of recording.
Once again ,fantastic musicianship.

Hi Kenny,

I use two MOTU audio interfaces connected via firewire.  The MOTU 4Pre acts as the master and the MOTU Audio Express is the slave.  In this configuration, 8 individual audio streams can be recorded at one time in my DAW (SONAR Platinum). You can record additional via each MOTU's S/PDIF in/outs.

Hope that helps.

Smooth as silk and a terrific recording and mix. You have a very nice setup in your studio. MOTU has some fantastic preamps and doesn't seem too expensive with all the transfer options. So, in your experience of use, how low is the ms rating for the latency if say your running 96kHz at a 32 bit sample?

Lovely track. Really nicely produced with some emotional playing.

Would love to hear you do something with Rhodes and Hammond sounds.

I found a similar-looking keyboard set-up.

Hi Mach,

I have never had any latency issues - ever.  MOTU says it provides real-time monitoring - I believe them.  I do not record at 96 and 32 so I can't comment on that specifically.  The MOTUs have such pristine DACs and loads of headroom.

Glad you enjoyed the piece.
