Leigh - "Friday Rain" LitLR

This morning NZT I've been trying to persuade my voice to warm up so I can have another crack at the vocals on a song I'm keen to finish. After a broken night's sleep my voice wasn't having a bar of it, so I gave away the vocal exercises and started noodling on the piano. This short simple piece, recorded live on my electric piano, is the result.

And yes, it's raining here.

The electric piano allows a second sound font to be overlaid on the selected base instrument. I selected strings for the second verse and synth voice for the bridge just to give a little variety. I had to throw in a longer pause at the start of the bridge to get my left hand to button and back! I think I could programme a sequence of sounds and trigger them from a pedal, but that seemed too complicated for two minute noodles.

It sounded like "more" than just piano playing, neat how you can add elements on the fly.
