Hi Folks,

I've been playing around with this for a few weeks, not sure how to play it and arrange it, but its got to a point where its tidied up enough to share it.  Its got few great lines worthy of a Nobel Prize winner for literature, so hopefully I have done it so that you can hear the lyrics.

I've been playing around with some of the effects and mixing and mastering tools in Sonar Platinum. Its a lot of fun and it can really improve the sound of raw tracks and pull them together. I may have used too much compression on the final mix because I can hear it pulsing a bit in between the vocals. But, I'm still learning.

I hope you like it.

What a tribute to the new Nobel prize winner! Well played and sung!

The recording sounds very professional - mellow and dynamic!

Did you record this on Boss recorder and export the tracks onto Sonar for mixing/mastering?

Top class production!!

Thanks, I use the BR800 as my audio interface and record directly in Sonar.  All the mixing was done in Sonar and then I used LANDR for the final mastering.

Damn that sounds good, your voice just fit this tune like a glove. Always liked the song & I think I like it more now. Not sure what I think about him getting the Prize? but I am a fan of Dylan and this is a fine cover.
Rock on!

This is a top-notch cover, Ian. I don't know the original song, but your vocals sound great, and I like the keys with the guitars and percussion. Sounds totally pro - nicely done!

it is the first time I listen to that kind of cover on this acoustic folk song.
Nice and interesting cover, because your "orchestral" arrangement is very complexe
For me, the global sound and arrangement is near from the way that Phil Spector produced  the Leonard Cohen album
"death of the ladies's man"
Great pro sound and production
