Win 10 problems

Hi gang - all of a sudden I'm having problems with Win 10
2 weeks ago ChordPulse stopped working
I contacted ChordPulse -very helpful guy -In the meantime Win10 updated and I reinstalled ChordPulse and it works again -got me backing band back --

Now over the last number of days -I have no sound into the PC when I'm using Audacity -it records OK-everything is fine with Audacity expect no sound in-------sound out OK.
Ive looked up settings -no luck so far -----
Me, being useless when it comes to the workings of the wheel barrow I dont know where to start trying to solve the problem.

Any help, or suggestions guys please.

I know I cannot be of great help, but probably the problems could come from the continuing updates of the OS.

For instance, few days ago, immediately after an update, my son told me that the audio didn't go anymoe, lots of distorsion and noise. He tought it was a problem with the laptop's loudspeakers, but I suspected something different. And in fact (don't ask me why), the update had changed the audio card's resolution to 96 khz, 24 bit.

Putting it back to 44100, 16 bit everything was perfect again.

So, you or some your technical friend, could check out if everything is as before...

It could be that your recording input devices are disabled in Windows Sound. Follow the directions on the following page to enable the inputs you need to record.
