I'm a big fan of this show. This is a bit of experimental electronica showcasing dialogue and sounds from the series, compiled and mixed in Audacity. I did this for my own (and my son's) entertainment, but if anyone else likes or remembers this series, they might get a kick out of it.

Where did you get the original material from? This is fascinating.

It was a tricky cut-up job using Youtube videos converted into mp3. The only way it was possible is that I knew what quotes / snippets I wanted, and what episodes they come from. I could have made it longer, but these are the main bits I was after. There's another little snippet from The Prisoner on the 'English Coasts' album which gave me a taste for this!

There's some really weird stuff going on in the background - it's a warped collage of strange noises and pulses.

You used to be able to get college credit for watching that show--maybe you still can.

ma dad used to force me to watch this when it was first shown, i thought it was awful, then it was rerun in the 70's and i watched it again with my dad, this time as a teenager and loved it, my dad died in 77 so this brings back lots of good memories.

Hey man, I wasn't born until 1981, and I don't know if this show was played in the states, but I definitely got a kick out of this....Makes me want to steal your idea there and try some experiments of my own!!

You should write a lyric about nostalgia and things moving full circle. I was too young to share this series with my dad, but I watch it now with my son and he loves it. I wonder if he'll show it to his kids oneday.

I'm glad it gave you some nice memories.

I only discovered it fairly recently - I was born the year it was made, so I never caught it first time round. I happened to catch a re-run and was hooked straight away by the slightly psychedelic feel and the escape theme (I'm an escape story obsessive...).

that is a deep well, i'm sure every lyric i ever came up with came from there, but i think i'll get my snorkel on and see if i can go a bit deeper.

Be seeing you...  Fantastic stuff.  This was my favorite show for a while years ago, for me it was the whole "never really knew what the hell was going on" vibe, but #6 always figured out enough to survive and even outsmart his captors.  One of the best TV shows ever made for sure.  This is a really effective sound collage that is really good in its own way.  I can see the dance crowd dancing to this, doing the prisoner dance.
