still finding my way around garageband on my ipad.

all the music was recorded on garageband and then recorded to my microbr via the line in and then i added vocals.

we watched the sun set in the west
and all the birds fly home to nest
the clouds they slowly turned to red
i can't remember what you said
my memory was dulled by drink
too drunk to sleep too tired to think
i said goodbye i said goodnight
i wasn't in no state to fight
i didn't want an argument
i don't even know what you meant
i think i'm gonna go to bed
to rest my mind lay down my head
til the morning
in the morning
we will kiss and make love
in the morning
it will all be forgotten
in the morning
the sun will rise again
in the morning
we watch the sun rise in the east
our tears dry in the gentle breeze
i pour you tea and we make peace
i give your hand a gentle squeeze
i catch my breath as our eyes meet
there isn't any need to speak
cos i love you and you love me
and that's the way it's meant to be
let's just agree to disagree
you be you and i'll be me
cos we'll just have an argument
and we'll fall out again
til the morning
sometimes i'm at a loss for words
and i just can't believe my luck
that i found you and you found me
it all seems it was meant to be
and i love you with all my heart
each day
and each night
and each morning
we fall asleep and dream our dreams
two jig-saw pieces so it seems
your head it lays upon my chest
my arms around you as we rest
wrapped up together for the night
sound asleep
til the morning

Love it man, it's got a unexpected power to it. Very nice job with GB, why record it through line in vs just importing the tracks?

What a great song! It would be fun to add some harmonies to the chorus, perhaps even a touch of strings.

I think it's amazing what you can do with GarageBand. But I'm more in awe of your songwriting ability and your vocal chops. Fantastic song - one to add to the collection on my phone.
Dueling BR1600s. Beats banjos.

Nice vocal melody and the piano "riff" is very captivating!

Works fine!

This is really good, James. You have a knack of writing stuff that has a hypnotic vibe which draws the listener in & this is no exception. Garage Band seems to really suit you... you're turning out some killer stuff with it!

my initial plan was to do that, but had no time, but i may redo the lead vocal and add some harmonies and perhaps some other instruments.

with regard to garage band it's a great song writing tool, especially for me with my limited playing skills. it lets me play chords my wee stubby fingers can't reach.it also lets me find riffs quite easily through trial and error, seeing which chords go with one another as a result of that, i am currently working on another song, where i used garageband to work out the chords and drums. just kept the drums then played some real guitar along to the drums, i have left some space for blooby to do his stuff, but is still in it's early stages, so watch this space.
