This looks pretty cool. It gives you hands-on control of your DAW with 8 motorized faders and lots of controls. Another cool feature is the Scribble Strip displays for each track which shows you the name of the track. It's not available yet but Sweetwater is advertising it for $499.95 US.

If you like the idea but not the price, you could consider the original FaderPort which is only $129.95 at Sweetwater.

Yes, it only has one fader but that's not a problem because it's motorized. So when you switch tracks, the fader automatically moves to the position corresponding to the current level setting of that track. It will also follow any level automation you might have recorded with the track.

Saw that and I admit to it looking cool, but it's just not in my workflow yet.

I got a Faderport and have used it on and off but never got super comfortable with it. As far as automation goes, I would rather draw it in. Still, i stroke my chin and look up to the right with my head slightly askew...
