This is actually my 5th song done with these little synths but the 1st 4 were for my new work project.I used the Purple one for the main rhythmic patterns & the orange one gave me the effects and melody pops. It's 3 stereo tracks recorded in my car yesterday on the BR80.

Where Everybody Goes
written & performed by Hook
People wanted me to make a difference
but I had no difference to make
and here I was sitting at the potluck
with no one eating my cake

I'm Center Stage
but no one sees me
the cover page
but no one reads me
I have the highest highs
and the lowest lows
but the middle is
where everybody goes

The opportunities to spread Goodwill
are completely overwhelming
My well of compassion has long run dry and empathy not far behind

I'm using a microphone
but no one hears me
I'm all alone
yet love surrounds me
I have the highest highs
and the lowest lows
but the middle is a place
that I've never known

Because the Hook brings you back
I ain't tellin' you no lie
The hook brings you back
On that you can rely

I f#cking love this, Hook.

One of my favourite pieces of music of all is the soundtrack of the Robocop game on Commodore 64 (I kid you not) and this is taking me right back there.

I need this.

Also, I need production details

Different, trippy & originality. Programmable mini synth sequencers, did you run your voice through those?

I've given up titling my replies to avoid spreading discombobulation, otherwise I'd call this reply Compelling lyrics and appealing synths.

I'd be interested to know what part of your life or experience delivered up these lyrics. They are most interesting.

The Pocket Operators certainly deliver that eighties flavour, and I guess they can't be beaten for portability. I'd be wanting to add a bass line, a snare and kick (as opposed to a sneer and kick, which can happen any Saturday night outside our local).

I think it's great you keep pushing the envelope. Respect!

This is the debut Songcrafter song I'm listening to via new (second hand actually) Micro Stereo system and this sounds great! Very experimental robot song, a lost Kraftverk song, imo or should I say Hookverk song!

You really get familiar very quickly with the new gears! Amazing stuff!

Wow this is so bloody good.
The cyborg vocals, and those little contraptions,,,,,,how do you do it?
What I really like is the way you totally re-invent yourself by using different musical instruments.
I totally get you.
It's like your looking for a new key into a different musical door that takes you into a brand new musical path.
Hey,,,,,,that could be a great concept for your day job  ;D Through the music door I.e the red door with the square key or the yellow door with the round key  :D ;D
