Had to come and have a listen when I read the magic words, The Carpenters  Excellent recording. I closed my eyes and you know who I saw singing your version?
Sammy Davis Jr !!!!! I haven't got a clue if he ever recorded it but he should have, but it would have to be this version, so he's a bit screwed
