a song about hope over fear about knowledge over ignorance a song about whatever you want it to be about.
I bought an iPad today messed about with GarageBand. I played a guitar riff on the iPad and recorded it to br800, used a standard pop, drum loop on br800. Then added some Juno di before recording vocals using my micro be as a mic via the br800 line in.
Anyway it is what it is.
When you feel you're getting nowhere,
like you're talking to the wall
And You just want to give it all  up
and throw in the towel
But you should keep on chipping,
 one rock at a time
And then before you know it,
you'll have reached the other side.
And made a difference
one rock at a time
You shall seek and you shall find,
said the man who led the blind
He Led them on a merry dance,
their bellwether friend
There where other voices
drowned
From them we heard
but not a sound
Too make a difference
One rock at a time
Too bring some light
One day at a time
To chase away the darkness
One rock at a time One rock at a time
Every man can move a mountain
But not everyone knows that they can
One rock at a time, one rock at a time
Make a difference
One rock at a time

Nicely ethereal jangly guitar. As always, compelling vocals. I like the doubled vocal on the hook line, and what I think is a hint of strings wafting in and out on the second verse. The harmonies are nice, and then the mellotron-style strings. It's an understated track, but poignant and attractively wistful.
Dueling BR1600s. Beats banjos.

This is REALLY good! Sounds like you put a lot of effort into this one and it's certainly paid off. I love everything about it... from the understated drum track to the atmospheric keyboards & of course your wonderful lyrics and vocal performance. Stunning!

While I agree with what was said, this explanation hurt my head a tad. I have been drinking 10 & 14 year old scotch since noon. I'll just leave it at "I'm a fan" & "I love you dearly."

i think i get what blooby is trying to impart. the guitar parts where all done on an ipad, i didn't actually play any real guitars.

i choose the chords, and let the ipad do the rest. all i had to do was touch the appropriate chord at the appropriate time, which was actually quite difficult to do.

in the final verse another ipad guitar comes in, tho quite far down in the mix as they do clash a bit.

so then to humanise, the music created on the ipad, i added some juno di using a patch called "flux pad" and at the final verse i moved an octave up the keyboard, so there are no strings in final verse, just that octave shift up.

it's a little trick i've used a few times. playing the same notes but an octave higher. usually in the last verse or chorus.

doing this somehow creates a bigger impact on an emotional level, (does that make sense?) any way i then further tried to humanise the ipad sounds by wailing over the top of them.

i must say the virtual instruments on the ipad are incredibly realistic, and the smart guitar app in garage band is a great writing tool. as is a good malt, tho in moderation.

Nice job with GB! I've it on my iPhone, but haven't get familiar with it yet...

Liked the feel of your song and juno gives a good flavor on this!
