I love this tune and haven't heard it in many...many years. What a great version, it's so much better than I remember it being.
No charts back then because all the songs were number one! Rock on my brother!

Brilliant! Haven't heard this in many a year! My old granny used to have the 78 of this & would play it on her radiogram. Excellent version, Tommy. Loved it!

Ahh super stuff Tommy. Just love the sounds you get from that ol Strat... the IS the definitive classic Strat twang... lovely!!

Don't know the original, but this is great!!  :)

My goodness, this one reaches way back there!   :D
When I started out learning to strum a uke before moving on to guitar (at about age 10) this song was in the uke chords songbook.  (my parents were able to sing and show how the song went)

Love the way you bring the Johnny Cash voice and back-up band to this one.  (Even though I guess this song would pre-date JC and the boys at Sun Studio by about a decade ?)  That booming voice and the busy-pickin' guitar provide plenty of entertainment.  Really nice, clean recording.

These days I merely dabble at being old and wise.
But I swear, I used to absolutely excel at being young and stupid.

Good one Tommy.  Well performed, recorded, and mixed.  This is an excellent record.  Good choice channeling Johnny Cash for the vocals.

Like Hooper I remember this one from sing around the campfire on family camping trips.  Guess it had already been around for a while then.

Nice clean recording, very pro.

Let it be known, there is a fountain, that was not made, by the hands of men.

Pro sounding and well performed song! Not familiar with the original, but sounds an earworm to me ;D.

Well done!

Hey FB. Fantastic stuff  ;D
I'm showing my age now because first time I heard this was in the 70's on a fruit pastilles advert, but they'd changed the words to 'Pastille pickin' mamma, put those pastilles down'  ;D
Cheers Tommy.
