I believe there is more people involved in this, Hook will fill in the blanks but he sent me this music from his recent Richmond trip .
This song in my mind was actually about Hook

I had this image of him parked somewhere and just writing and playing in his car,as he does.
It has a real relaxed feel about it and would be perfect for those days lying in the sun or chilling in the garden with a cool beverage of your choice.
I hope to do more with Hook when he is less busy as his time schedule is pretty manic at the moment, every song crafter has a unique way of doing things and different styles and this was a bit more difficult to reach into because the
instruments are interacting in and out with one another.

Very very nice Kenny. This is a real treat for me especially being right now I have no time to spend on personal Songs Like This.

It is actually just me on this recording. I did it in Richmond but this was when my buddy and his girlfriend were taking a nap. I recorded it on his couch in about an hour and a half using my archtop tenor ukulele, my iPad and the br80. Just sitting on the tracks since then and remembered Kenny had asked for a track a while ago.
All my usual tricks, over effected uke, garage band drums, TJ bass & pedal steel. The funky effects thingy sounds are from the TC Performer app, love that app.

Dude, what I dig the most is your approach to the song. I know I would have gone Darker and more troubled with the lyric, had I tried and you, my friend, just shine positivity. Your melody is so unexpected to my ear but so natural upon listening & just compliments the pedal steel so nicely. In fact as I listen to this it's hard for me to imagine that your vocal didn't come before the pedal steel.

Hope one day we will play this together...of course then I'd have to figure out what I played.
