(I was on a "GAS" thread on a guitar forum the other day, and someone said they'd owned 12 SGs at once at one point... I think that might be a little excessive, perhaps... But 3 or 4 of each type is perfectly healthy and would promote better knowledge of the body shape, its options and playability, enabling you to help more people on the internet)

That guy has a great collection of amps, guitars, and effects pedals! He has me out numbered by far. I do understand his "never sale anything" philosophy but since he hasn't bonded with the Danelectro guitar, I'd gladly take it off his hands for free, lol.

That is a fine looking collection Kenneth... if they sound good, they are good, full stop.

I think a lot of the extra money for expensive gear is way out of proportion to the increase in quality... as in a lot of things.

I am a hobbiest... never played a note for an audience bar internet peeps. I make do with 2 Mex Strats and a Yamaha acoustic. They keep me happy and I really have no pining for an American Strat (well not too much!! ).

But in saying this I don't have any extra money for Guitar stuff... but if i did would I suffer from GAS. Probably!!!

Anyway, I never knew what it officially stood for - "GAS" - so after seeing the abbreiviation on this site for years now i googled it and came across this website in the process GuitarAcquisitionSyndrome.com

It has a pretty good description of the affliction!!

I found a cream colored, no name Strat at a Pawn shop yesterday for $30. A buddy has it and is setting it up for me, will take pics and make a video for both the new Tele & now Strat ... ... ... and my new Blackstar Core ID 10 (amazing amp! Amazing )
