When I win the lottery...

I've been watching a lot of this guy's videos recently. They give a real insight into how a custom built guitar is put together...

Then I got an email about a big lottery rollover jackpot, and it got me thinking...

Any thoughts on what you might order if your numbers came up?

Cheers,

John.

Interesting choice Johnny - I've had the GAS knocked out of me by the wife who says I can't have any more guitars so not given it much thought recently.  But I suppose if I won the lottery I could buy a bigger house and have my own music room/studio. I know custom-built guitars can look amazing but I prefer the more traditional look. So instead of spending a lot of money on one guitar I'd go for a  Tele in Butterscotch with a maple neck, an all-black Strat with maple neck and large headstock (always wanted one like that), a Les Paul Standard in faded cherry-burst, a faded cherry Gibson 335. Saw a Squier Jaguar in a shop in town recently (which I started having a hankering for but was told NO!) so I'd also go for a US one in sunburst with red tortoiseshell scratchplate. And perhaps a better bass, a Fender American Standard P Bass would do me. Probably black with a maple neck. Simple tastes !

Sounds like a fine stable of instruments you'd go for, Pete. Obviously, if I were to win the jackpot, I'd have to have all the big names in there too... strat/tele/les paul/335/PRS etc... For the low-end stuff I think I'd go for the jazz bass though, as I just prefer the look.

Meanwhile, back in the real world... this one is giving me a bit of GAS:

I'm hoping you win Kenny! I don't play the lottery so I'm sure I won't win. I take all those $$ and just buy the mid range/Used stuff.

Nice one! The whole lot of us taking over a hotel in the Caribbean for a week of music making... I could do with that  :)

I would build more fountains that sprayed in synch with music and hire all of you guys to write the music to accompany said fountains.
