John is over as I type. We were attempting to get through a faux 3-hour setlist to see how John is doing since his mishap with the bike and car, but we are pretty good at derailing ourselves.

I started playing a slow version, and this popped out.

Good work guys... I have to say I think your version is much more interesting than the one I hear on the radio. Its got soul, whereas the original I am not that keen on. Yep this is a mighty fine piece guys, great singing... good to hear you both back on track together.

Nice work, gentlemen. I'm not familiar with the original song but I don't believe it will exceed the quality
and the sheer pleasure of listening to your version. Instrument and vocal work is excellent.

Well done!

Right next to my mashed potatoes.

Lovely. I do love Darius Rucker's version of this tune. This is much more introspective version. I that you Bruce doing some backing vox? Lurkers vocals are top notch, and loving the trem sounds (been thinking about the new ehx trem pedal :))

The bed track was live, but John made another two passes for BG vocals.

Thanks for listening.

Man you guys can make me dig songs I truly have never enjoyed before. This does take a very cool, introspective turn all through the delivery, both musically and vocally. Well done guys, I dig.
Rock on!

I'm actually not familiar with this song, and after looking it up, I guess I should be considering its popularity (I was expecting "That Old Wheel" for some reason). So your version is my introduction - it sounds great, I dig the pace. Definitely sounded like a Dylan song, shades of a "Knockin' on Heaven's Door" to it.
