This just goes to show that music really is a universal language... I didn't understand a word of the lyrics with the basic French I learned in school 30+ years ago. But I DID understand the music. Does that make sense? Brilliant song & a captivating performance: it just conjures up the image of French "coolness" - like a Parisian cafe, strong black coffee & a lone troubadour smoking a Gauloise. You paint a very vivid picture!

These comments of you are very touching me, even if I think that the quality recording is not "crystal clear" as you said (Groundy)  and as I wanted to...

"Troubadour" is a very beautyful word, in french as in english...
Refering for me to this sublime album of JJ Cale and to the middle age poets in France travelling and playing sounds...
So, touched by this word
