Rock & Roll lost one it's founding fathers today. Elvis Presley's guitarist, Scotty Moore has passed away at the age of 84. One of the first solos I ever learned was his first lead break from Hound Dog. I was so proud when I got to the point where I could keep up with him & it was probably the moment when I realised that playing the guitar was going to be something that would stay with my my whole life.

Beyond legendary. One of the most influential and revered guitarists ever.

A very sad loss, but what a life! Just amazing.

Peace be with you Scotty Moore. You did something with your life most of us could only dream of.

"That's Alright" still ranks up there as some of my favorite guitar work. Just sounds perfect in that song.

Sad but he lived what seems to be a full life.
