A few weeks ago, I posted yet another oddball instrumental ("Pigtronix") and threatened a vocal version. Apparently, this is that vocal version. John came over, and the beer assortment I purchased earlier proved too tempting...

Another tune to check out the Arranger function of the Studio One DAW. You can tell how the instrumental version ("Pigtronix") was stretched and contorted to make room for the vocals in this version. I won't say it went smoothly today, but I still think that function is pretty nifty.

Lyrics and vocals by Lurker. I haven't been this moved by a sentiment since Gene Simmons penned the pre-chorus to "Larger Than Life."

Two Sizes

She's the kind of woman put your spine in traction
Wrangle with her best be ready for action
Your expense account doesn't cover abuse
Turn and walk away because she'll bust it all loose
When I walked up to her to give it my all
Said, I'm sorry little man, you just two sizes too small

I stood and watched as she walked by
Moving to a beat I felt destined to try
The way she moved she wanted to dance
I shuffled up to her to take my chance
She looked me over as if I had some gall
She said, I'm sorry little man, your feet two sizes too small

Alone in her booth she was nursing her drink
One hand on her neck like she had a kink
I thought to myself this woman needs a rub
Or maybe a soak in a nice hot tub
I sidled up to her to offer a house call
She said, I'm sorry little man your hands two sizes too small

I don't know how I finally got her to look
Beneath the covers of my little book
As she took in my pages she began to call
Oh my little man you're not so small after all

I loved Pigtronix and this is every bit as good.  At the risk of being controversial - it might be even better!  :)

Great production.

Did I mention the bass playing when I posted on "Pigtonix"?  If I didn't I will now.  The bass playing is inspiring.  Funkalicious.

Brilliantly funky! That loose feel you lads have conjured on this really sounds like a tight little funk band jamming together. Superb work, fellas! Bravo!

Red hot kinky downtown funk.

And that's all there is to say!

Now this is funky.
I dig that groove, the lyrics are cool as well.
The full thing is recorded great.
It's all as clear as a bell.
What were you guys recording on?
Brilliant stuff.

Studio One as a DAW. Guitars are through an Eleven Rack and the Pigtronix pedal.

Thanks for listening, folks.
