i got my Jasmine electro acoustic out and this chord pattern came to me, i then quickly came up with a lyric/analogy to go with the tune.
i decided i would do a big production, however it turns out it's one of those songs you have to sing and play at the same time. when i recorded the guitar and voice separately it just doesn't work. (tho i might try again when i have time)

anyway to cut a long story short, i went for a live in the living room unplugged take on the song.

You can take your ball
and end the game
but we won't stop
we'll keep on playing
you can close your door
or you can let me in
and you should come outside
and have some fun
and stop your crying..................
you can pull down the blinds
to block the sun
but it's still gonna shine
on everyone
you can close your door
or you can let me in
and you should come outside
it's so much fun
instead of crying............
etc
come outside and join the world

I think it works lovely like this, singing and playing at the same time, the synergy between the two is perfect for this

Life is not about the number of Breathes you take, it is the amount of times your breathe is taken away

Seems this is the first version in a trilogy? :)

Glad I found this one first - it works great LitLR, with your guitar and vocals sounding nice and crisp. Going to check the others later.

Nice song James.

Listened to the other version first, usually I prefer the more produced versions of your songs but this time I was captured by the acoustic version.
