These Mondays come around very quickly  ;D

This one features a P-90 equipped Epiphone Les Paul Gold Top, a Westfield P-Bass, an early 80's Yamaha portasound keyboard*, and vocals over Garageband drums.

All recorded and mixed on the MBR.

*The PSS-170 looks like a toy keyboard, but it's polyphonic and has a guitar jack output - which means I can plug it into the MBR with a guitar lead and (as in this case) put it through guitar phaser effects etc. It has some pretty usable tones.

It's the story of a window dummy in love with another window dummy...

Mr mannequin
is in love
with a lady across the road
just like him she is a window dummy
in stylish cut-price clothes

he stares at her with his painted eyes
but she remains aloof
lit up as the night draws in
with the arrogance of youth

he needs some evolution
or a revolution

mr mannequin
stands behind
a triple pane of glass
watching a riot breaking out
and another baton charge

maybe, when the looting starts
he'll be thrown into the street
lying in the all-together
with the lady of his dreams

he needs some evolution
or a revolution

That's a really great recording brother, and it's really good song to boot. The mix and the production quality on this are unbelievable very slick sound. Those drums make a huge difference in your final product but the mix really stands out to me on this it's got a lot of power. You know I've often thought of myself as a window dummy I really like those two words I might have to use them. Rock on!

Yes, that's a fine song but the production is fantastic.  Everything in its place and everything louder than everything else.

Masterful.

Geir

A real rocker.

You should sell this to the Stones..... would be a hit then !!!

But you have to insist on playing the bass ;D !!!!

Some kick-ass rock and roll, Tim. Excellent vocal and multiple guitar tracks.

Brings back memories of my wild rock and roll youth.

Well done!
