Awesome. That title song is one of my favorites. It was inspired by "Blackbird" as the opening sequence is similar.

Its rare for me these days to find music that really clicks with me, just this just just seem to hit the spot. I love the sound of these songs. The crooked road' is a great, great song - but the tune I seemed to have on constant repeat is 'the long wide open road'. Man, that is a life story in a tune. I will be listening to this lots, and will getting a few more of his albums. This is music that I don't think is on the UK radar - I shall be spreading the word :-) Thanks Lurker and Blooby for such a great cover, awesome.

He isn't so much on the radar over here either. Here's a blurb from a music recommendation part of our web site:

Darrell Scott  -  11-9-12 (from Bruce)

I first discovered Darrell Scott while he was a member of Robert Plant's incredible Band of Joy.  He sang, played guitar, mandolin, pedal steel, and bouzouki.  He also plays piano and lap steel, is an award-winning songwriter, and is a gifted improvisor (both on his chosen instruments and vocally).  Of the 100's of artists I have seen live (might be past 1,000 by now), an intimate solo theater gig in Duluth, GA by Darrell ranks at the top.  It pains me when folks like Travis Tritt or the Dixie Chicks stir in their brand of over-produced mediocrity to tarnish his songs.  My current favorite release of his is Live from North Carolina.  Hefty amounts of quality band improvisation continue to leave me slack-jawed every time I hear it.

An excellent live performance and recording Lurker and Blooby! I don't know the song but I know the style and it's one that grabs my ear every time. I can hear the excellent stage presence you both have...nice one fellas!

I have heard your singing on a few songs on someone elses juke box...maybe Blooby's... don't remember.... great voice...great singing...and yes the guitar playing is really good.... so I am guessing you don't play?  If I was understanding right you sing and Blooby played this...
I am just wondering how come you don't have more songs posted?  You sing so well.....
