i'm with Greeny and Geir on this one at over 1k songs my MBR looks like a bar of soap. but that little silver box has not only helped me build songs but also build lifelong friendships with people i would have most likely never have met (no pun intended).

if i was to chose an instrument it would have to be my roland juno di keyboard. tho the latest version is giving me terrible gas.

oh and my £20 quid uke out of argos has paid it's way.

In short I can justify it all but the instruments that got me going in 1962 on this musical journey were a pawn shop St.George guitar and a Melody amp. I got them both for a summer's wages of $125. Although at that time I had no idea how this G.A.S. stuff would grab hold of me. I still have the amp (works) but the guitar went to pieces long ago and was sold at a yard sale. I will say the purchase of my Fostex FD8 recorder and later upgrade to the Fostex VF160 had the most influence on making me a better all around musician. They forced me to practice, record, and listen...then redo it all again until it was right.

This was my same situation till some months ago, when I began to realize that there were too many *things* getting dust and nothing else.

So I decided to sell everything I was rather sure I didn't want (was able to) play any more. There's a very popular (here) Italian "Mercatino Musicale", and in the last months I've sold: an Axon AX-50; a Zoom A3; a Roland SonicCell; a Ketron SD2; a LR Baggs Para Acoustic DI; a Yamaha MagicStomp, and there are still on sale a Zoom R16, a YouRockGuitar Gen 1, a Kenton MIDI USB Host, a Zoom A2-1u and a Behringer V-Amp Bass Pro. I'm also planning to sell my old Roland GT-Pro (since I have the Boss GT-001) and Boss GR-30.
I must say I am more and more convinced to sell all these things; of course I'll have back more or less 50% of what I've spent, but...better so.

...and more new room for the new puchases!!!  :D

P.S. my best: Boss BR-600; my worst: Zoom R-16 (I hated it since the first moment...)  :-\

I bought a Roland Cube about 3 weeks ago. Basically the only playing i ever do is either when i record something to put on Songcrafters... when i do this i generally record into my mac an do it all on headphones as i live in a mid terrace house with a grumpy old biddy on one side and a guy who works night shifts on the other as its hard to crank it up i prefer to do it this way.

Problem is i never hear the true nature of my guitar. So I bought this Roland Cube... a tiny little amp... but man it sounds great... even at low volumes. You can hear the true tones of your guitar at pretty lo volumes.

As the guitar infatuation is a given - i love my mex strat - this was a big surprise to me, how much this little amp has give me fresh impetus...

This should be the name of a band, especially with all lower case letters and the necessary ellipsis.
