Gots me my Greeny fix. Great tune that is mixed really nicely. One thing I always tend to focus on in your tunes is the bass playing. You always come it with inventive parts that fit the song. That bass tone is always something I dig, too. I don't know if you roll top end off or it it's just your bass, but it's so round and warm. Also really effective ehrn the drum drop out here.  And I have to mention these lyrics:

where the sharks stare with black eyes
at my appalling etiquette

Brilliant.

It's lyrically fantastic, the imagery is great, something up your sleeve, it's such a nuanced phrase, superb.

The arrangement is fantastic too, just enough TJ cello, lovely bit of trumpet, and the gentle wind down just before the last chorus that leaves you hoping for the big reprise, which you just stretch it out and then in it comes, boom!

Getting to the party a little late, but WOW! So great to hear a new Greeny tune. The production on this is really off-the-charts gorgeous. I read through your notes in this thread - and will probably do so again - but man, you really got a treasure trove of high production values with your use of Garageband.

A real stunner!
