Off to the Rory Gallagher Tribute festival in a couple of weeks... so just getting in the mood by trying a cover...

1 guitar part (mex Strat), doubled on to 2 separate tracks panned left and right
vocals recorded on a €6 mic from ebay china
drums programmed in GarageBand (no loops - takes ages moving blocks around)
bass - garageband software bass

Recorded in GarageBand...

Can't believe it's true
I can't believe it's true
Baby, where are you?
Baby, where are you?

In the night I'm walking in my sleep
A lonely man who just can't get no peace
Oh how I wish I just could see your face
And then I would walk the floor pace by pace

Clock on the wall
Why do you bother to chime at all
Clock on the wall
Why does this have to happen at all

In the day I'm walking on the street
Hear the sound, steps walking after me
That's just trouble, follow with me about
And that is one thing I can't do without

Clock on the wall
Why do you bother to chime at all
Spot on the wall
Did I really see it moving at all

Can't believe it's true
I can't believe it's true
I wonder where are you
I wonder where are you

And in the night I'm talking in my sleep
The things I say I just, just can't repeat
Don't need no fingerprints to know
You've got your hands on my very soul

Clock on the wall
Why do you bother to chime at all
Clock on the wall
Why does this have to happen at all

Very well done Mike! The recording is ultra clean and as are your performances. Good vocal work and a smooth,  tasty guitar solo. Also good drums from garageband!

Listened to this yesterday - just getting around to commenting. Great playing and guitar tones - felt to vocals could come up a tad tho.

Great cover, Mike. Really pro sounding production. That Mex strat sounds really excellent, mate. And it sounds like you scored a real bargain with that mic. Love the clean stratty sound you use on the solo, mate. Bravo :)

Well done all the way around. I need to listen to more Rory. I saw him open for Asia once. Now that's an odd pairing.

Yea, cool choice on that lead tone. Pokes through the mix so nicely without being intrusive.

That main riff is hypnotic.

Nice!
