As some of you may have noticed I don't do many collabs, mostly due to my fear of ruining someones song. But a little while ago I had a set of chords I couldn't think of what to do with, they were in the wrong key for my voice and I couldn't think of a good guitar melody that I could physically play (a touch of arthritis I fear). Anyway I posted the chords in the collab section and Kenny Mac came to the rescue and breathed life into the song with some great additions including writing and singing the lyrics. I think he's worked his magic again. Hope you enjoy. Willie and Kenny

Sounds to a classic from the 80's! Very fine backer and Kenny's voice/lyric is icing on the cake! WOW!

You don't really have a "usual sound," Willie, but this is in a different musical ballpark. This was a great call, to bring in Kenny Mac. (I'm starting to wonder why I've never pinged him for a collab.) I love how the vocal parts overlap in parts – as the lead vocal sustains, the background vocals come in. The lead vocals sound like they were recorded 20 feet from the the mic – like someone pleading to be heard above the bustle. Very effective. (I never do that. I'm too insecure to sing that loud.)

The jangling, echoing, rhythm, like this is a sound I've aimed for several times, and have fallen short. It's a feel I've always enjoyed – think "Give Blood" by Pete Townshend, and U2 (as thetworegs mentioned). I think the secret sauce is the drums, which can't be found on in the Micro BR.
